Common questions
Everything riders ask us
Are Legin bikes road legal in Australia?
Yes. The road version runs 250W pedal assist, limited to 25km/h, and meets EPAC rules in every state. The off-road version puts out far more power and belongs on private property only.
Do I need a licence or registration?
No. A 250W pedal-assist e-bike counts as a bicycle under Australian law, so there is no licence, rego or CTP to sort out.
How far can I ride on one charge?
Up to 80km. Real range depends on rider weight, terrain, tyre pressure and how much you pedal.
What is the difference between the Mach 1 and the Mach 1 Pro?
The Mach 1 runs a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery, adjustable front suspension and 20 x 4 inch Kenda tyres.
The Mach 1 Pro steps up to a 52V 20Ah Samsung battery, a DNM mid shock alongside the adjustable front suspension, puncture-proof Vee E Huntsmen tyres, phone charging and a twist throttle.
Can it carry a passenger?
Yes. Both models take up to 180kg, roughly two adults, and both include passenger footpegs and a rear rack at no extra cost.
What brakes do they use?
203mm Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear, on both models.
How do I look after the battery?
Charge it with the supplied charger and keep it out of extreme heat. Using a non-approved charger causes electrical damage and voids your battery cover.
What warranty do I get?
Twelve months from the date of purchase. Full details sit on our warranty page.
